*Alfred Smith

Alfred traveled the unorthodox path of dance starting very late with Hip Hop and Breaking, from which he performed in the 2002 Winter Olympic in Salt Lake City. Since then, he moved to Denver over Lala land to pursue more artistry and craft beyond commercial dance. This craft began with Kim Robards, and APEX modern dance companies. While dancing with these companies, Alfred taught Hip Hop/ urban style dance classes that were influenced by his modern training to move the space. In recent years, Alfred fell into a deeper love with Ballet, subsequently danced with Ballet Ariel for three seasons. Currently, Alfred is developing the dance company/studio, CocooLotus Dance. His current Contemporary class could be described as a main entree of Ballet/Modern with sides of Hip Hop elements, seasoned with the sexy, passionate roots from Latin & African, with sprinklings of Breaking.
